This was an idea which came to me after a lunch session with my coworkers and fellow paralegals. As I had been working with an another law firm for a few months before, I understood the pains of secured communication and the exchange of sensitive documentation (particularly in personal injury law): the hoops and third party sites and varying case management systems and inefficiencies of the email/mail traditional means. I realized there had to be a better way for information to be shared between organizations with confirmed permission. A hybrid case management and encrypted integrated communications app.
Helpful for those in the legal & medical fields, which handle & share sensitive information, Interlink allows approved access parties to view and share documents wherein clients information can be easily accessed by involved parties with the correct authorization. Likewise, providing a safe, encrypted direct to Client or Patient method of communication during the course of their treatment and case. Every and any change to documentation, requests, and all messages are documented in a accountability log accessible to the Managing Partner or Head RN. In order to view specific Case Manager to Case Manager or Physician to Physician communications, the Law Firm or Hospital must also have the users' Personal PIN, In order to have an account, your Law Firm or Hospital/Clinic must provide the documentation and proof of practice and create a Master PIN. This Master PIN is uniquely generated per Law Firm or Hospital, and must be used to create any subsidiary accounts, such as Physician or Case Manager accounts.
Both Hospital and Law Firm accounts can choose to display their current Physicians or Case Managers to their friends only or for all users, including other law firms and hospitals outside your network. Physicians and Case Managers can decide to have their inbox open or closed when displayed on the Law Firm or Hospitals main account.
Law firms can operate as the firm itself, adding other law firms to exchange referrals or transfer clients and overall case manager activities, or as individual case managers with access to their clients specific messages/requests and documentation. Hospitals or Clinics themselves retain the same capacities of the Law Firms. Hospitals also have the ability to keep "contact cards" where information is clearly displayed to prevent delays due to incorrect location email, fax or other method of contact, and receive notifications when a request is submitted alongside which hospital location it is requested from.
The interface is meant to be visual and simple, a welcome break in the often text heavy fields of medicine and law, while still maintaining the most important details.
